General Feature Information
Feature Name: Shipping Partners Sub Settings / City Coverage & Daily Capacity Settings
Feature Overview:
After integrating your own shipping partner agreements with OTO, OTO allows you to make advanced settings on a contract basis.
You can add country and city based coverage to your configurations or set daily shipment capacity for this configuration.
The Coverage setting allows shipments to be created only for the cities selected for the shipping partner you have configured, or prevents shipments from being created for certain cities. The importance of this feature becomes apparent with automatic shipment creation. In addition, daily capacity also prevents shipments from being created more than the specified limit by setting a daily capacity limit in automatic shipment creations.
How to Use the Feature
Step-by-Step Instructions
To Make City Coverage and Daily Capacity
Navigate to the Shipping Partners tab on the homepage.
Open the Connected section to view your currently configured shipping partners.
Select the contract you want and click on the city coverage button.
Activate or deactivate the cities you select in bulk by clicking on the Tools button. Here, you can activate the cities in bulk by applying the country filter and listing only the cities of that country.
Add a capacity limit for the city you select using the Daily Capacity button. This way, no more shipments will be generated than the daily limit specified for that city. While you can add daily capacity for a single city, you can also apply the same restriction to all cities collectively.
Please note: These settings only apply to automatic shipments. They do not prevent manual shipments.
