Feature Name: Area Settings

Feature Overview:

OTO allows you to manage your own driver fleet in a seamless way through its OTO Flex application. Oto Flex app is created for your drivers to handle the incoming orders. You can manage your own fleet through OTO Flex Application easily.

You may want to assign specific areas to specific delivery companies or to the drivers of your own fleet. You can automate this decision-making process in OTO easily.

How to Use the Feature

Step-by-Step Instructions

To Access Area Settings Page:

  1. Navigate to Settings> Advanced>Area in the side menu.

  2. Click on Add Area button on the top of the right





  1. A form will appear requesting the following information:

  • Area Name:The name given to an area to distinguish it from other areas.

  • Country: Country of area

  • City: City of area

  • Capacity: Number of shipments a driver will deliver daily

  • Priority: If an order is within an intersection of more than one area then the order area should be set to the higher priority.

  • Description: Descrition of the area.

  • OTO Flex Drivers: List of drivers who will deliver in that area.

  1. Click on Next Step button.

  1. Here you will see the map of the city selected from the previous form. After determining the regions on the map, when you press the save button, the coordinates will be filled automatically.

  2. Click on Save button.

Common Issues and Solutions:

Issue: An order falls within multiple areas, and the wrong area is assigned due to conflicting priorities.

Solution: Review and adjust the Priority values for overlapping areas. Assign higher priority to the preferred area.

Issue: Assigned drivers do not receive orders for the area they are responsible for.

Solution: Verify that the correct drivers are listed under "OTO Flex Drivers" for the area.

Check the Capacity setting to confirm it aligns with the drivers' workload.

A:Yes, you can assign multiple drivers to an area through the OTO Flex Drivers section in the area settings.

Q: How do I resolve conflicts between overlapping areas?

A: Review the priority levels of the overlapping areas and adjust them. Assign a higher priority to the area you want orders to be assigned to.
