OTO Pack Team Configuration

Modified on Thu, 6 Mar at 2:35 PM

Efficient warehouse operations require seamless task assignment, especially for high-volume processes like picking. The Team Configuration feature in OTO PACK Advanced helps you assign tasks to a group rather than individual users, allowing any available team member to pull and complete tasks. Let’s explore how to create and manage teams to optimize your operations.

1. What Are Teams in OTO PACK?

Teams are a dynamic way to group users performing similar tasks. Instead of assigning tasks to a single user, you can assign them to a team, allowing the first available team member to take on the task.

Key Benefits:

  • Flexibility: Tasks are dynamically allocated to available team members.

  • Efficiency: Reduces idle time and ensures continuous workflow.

  • Collaboration: Facilitates teamwork, especially in large warehouses.

Currently, the team feature is used exclusively for the picking process and is available only to OTO PACK Advanced users.

2. Navigating the Teams Page

To access the Teams page:

  1. Go to OTO PACK → Configuration → Teams.

  2. Here, you’ll find a list of existing teams, along with details such as:

    • Team Name

    • Warehouse

    • Users (Team members)

    • Description (Purpose of the team)

Pro Tip: Use the search and filter options to quickly find or organize teams by warehouse or user.

  • Click the Add Team button on the top-right of the Teams page.

Step 2: Fill Out the Form

    • Provide a brief description of the team’s role or shift.

    • Example: "Picking Team for Sultan Distribution Center."
