PACKING ORDERS

Modified on Thu, 6 Mar at 2:35 PM

Packing is a crucial step in the order fulfillment process, serving as the final quality control check for products before shipment. In OTO PACK, the packing stage includes verifying product accuracy and quantity, and creating shipments if they haven’t been generated earlier. Here’s how you can efficiently manage packing, both through the dashboard and OTO PACK Mobile App.

Packing Options on the Dashboard

1. Packing from the Operations Page

  • Navigate to OTO PACK > Operations > Packing.

  • Select the order you want to pack and click Tools > Pack to open the Packing Form.

  • Another option here you can activate scanner mode on top right by clicking on red button. Any scanning will search for orders and it will navigate automatically to the Packing form.

  • Complete the process by scanning the items, creating the shipment (if not created before), and scanning the AWB barcode (shipment number).

2. Packing Using the Packing Pilot

  • Navigate to OTO PACK > Operations > Packing > Packing Pilot.

  • Use filters such as warehouse, packing station (if Bin Tracking is enabled), or wave ID to locate orders.

  • Alternatively, scan an item to view all orders containing it.

  • Click on Select Order to implement the packing process for the order. The steps are identical to the process which is explained above.

3. Packing from Shipments (Skips Scanning Step)

  • Navigate to Shipments > Awaiting Pickup > Orders > Pack Order.

  • Select the order and click Pack Order.

  • This method finalizes the packing process automatically without requiring item scanning.

4. Marking Orders as Packed (For Non-Bin Tracking Users)

  • Navigate to Shipments > Pending Orders or Awaiting Pickup > Tools > Mark as Packed.

  • This action updates the packing status to "Packed." This option is available only when Bin Tracking is disabled.

Packing Orders via OTO PACK Mobile App

Packing with the OTO PACK Mobile App is user-friendly and ideal for on-the-go operations. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Pack Page:

    • Tap the Menu button on the bottom bar.

    • Select Pack to access the packing interface.

  2. Select Your Order:

    • Choose the order you want to pack from the list.

    • Use the camerascanner, or manual selection to pick the items for the order.

  3. Create a Shipment (if needed):

    • If a shipment hasn’t been created, click the Create Shipment button located at the center of the bottom bar.

    • If the shipment is already created, skip this step.

  4. Finalize Packing:

    • After packing all items, click on the red bar located in the upper part of the page, just above the items.

    • Scan the Shipment Number or Order ID to complete the packing process.

Pro Tip: Always use scanning tools to ensure packing accuracy and minimize errors.
