The Relocate Order feature allows users to assign an order to a different warehouse or branch. Depending on the relocation, the order's status is updated to either Assigned to Warehouse or Pickup from Store. This feature is particularly useful for redistributing orders to optimize delivery logistics and improve order processing efficiency.

How to Use the Feature

Step-by-Step Instructions

Prerequisites:
  1. Warehouse/Branch Setup:
    The new warehouse or branch must already be configured in the system.

Steps to Relocate an Order:
  1. Navigate to the Pending Orders Tab:

    • Go to the Shipments section and select the Pending Orders tab.

  2. Select the Order to Relocate:

    • Check the box beside the order you wish to relocate.

  3. Access the Relocate Option:

    • Click the Orders dropdown menu and select Reallocate Order from the list.

  4. Open the Relocate Form:

    • A relocation form will pop up with the current order details.

  5. Fill Out the Relocation Details:

    • Warehouse: Select the new warehouse to which the order should be assigned.

    • Branch: If applicable, choose the new branch for the order.

    • Order Status: Choose the appropriate status:

      • Assigned to Warehouse

      • Pickup from Store (if relocating to a branch).

  6. Confirm the Relocation:

    • Click Reallocate to save and apply the changes.

Example 1: Relocating to Another Warehouse

  • An order initially assigned to "Jeddah Store" needs to be handled at "Riyadh Warehouse."

  • Select Riyadh Warehouse as the new location and update the status to Assigned to Warehouse.

Example 2: Relocating to a Branch for Store Pickup

  • A customer requests to pick up their order at a nearby store.

  • Select the desired branch and update the status to Pickup from Store.

  • Issue: The Relocate option is unavailable.
    Solution: Ensure the order is in the Status where you can do the relocation action.

    A: No, relocation is only available for orders before they are picked up.
