Putaway and Easy Put are essential tools for inventory management available exclusively in OTO PACK Advanced + Bin Tracking. While Putaway streamlines Inbound Operations, Easy Put allows for quick, ad-hoc inventory transfers between bins.
Putaway Process
The Putaway Process ensures that inbound items are systematically placed in designated bins, maintaining the accuracy and organization of warehouse inventory.
Automatic Creation of Putaway Orders
After an Inbound Order is processed, a Putaway Order is automatically created.
These orders facilitate the systematic organization of incoming inventory.
Managing Putaway Orders
1. Assigning Putaway Orders
Navigate to OTO PACK > Operations > Putaway from the Dashboard.
Select the Tools > Edit Putaway option for the relevant order.
Assign the putaway task to a specific warehouse user.
Once assigned, the Putaway Order appears in the Put Page of the OTO PACK Mobile App for the assigned user.
2. Processing Putaway Orders
From the Mobile App:
Go to the Put Page: Open the app, click the Menu button, and select Put.
Select the Order: Choose the Putaway Order from the list.
Select the Item: Tap the item you want to process.
Assign Quantity and Destination Bin: Select the destination bin and enter the quantity.
Note: Quantities can be split across multiple bins if necessary.
Repeat for All Items: Ensure all items in the order are assigned to bins.
Complete the Order: After processing all items, tap Complete to finalize the Putaway Order.
Important: Once completed, the order will no longer appear in the app.
From the Dashboard:
Navigate to OTO PACK > Operations > Putaway.
Select the Putaway Order and click Start Putaway.
To finalize a putaway order, click Complete Putaway.
This opens a form where you must manually input the following details for each item (SKU).

Destination Bins
After all details are entered and confirmed, click Save to complete the process.
Flexible Inventory Transfers with Putaway
In addition to Inbound Operations, Putaway can also be used to transfer inventory from a single bin to multiple bins for improved organization.
Easy Put: Quick Bin Transfers
The Easy Put feature provides a simple solution for transferring inventory between bins. It is accessible on both the Dashboard and the Mobile App.
Steps for Easy Put on Mobile App:
Go to the Put Page: Open the app and select Put from the Menu.
Tap Easy Put: Click the center button labeled Easy Put.
Select Source and Destination Bins: Choose the bins where items are moving from and to.
Select Products and Quantities: Pick the product(s) and specify the quantities.
Multiple products can be selected in a single operation.
Complete the Transfer: Tap Complete to finalize the transfer.
Steps for Easy Put on Dashboard:
Navigate to OTO PACK > Operations > Putaway.
Click the Easy Put button located near Add Putaway at the top right.
Select the source bin, destination bin, product(s), and quantity.
Finalize the transfer by clicking Complete.
