Wave processing is a critical step for order fulfillment in OTO PACK Advanced when Bin Tracking is enabled. Whether you're using Wave Picking or Zone Wave Picking, the process is consistent, offering flexibility and precision to meet warehouse needs.
Methods for Processing Waves
1. Processing Waves via OTO PACK Mobile App
This method is highly recommended for real-time operations and ensures accuracy with the help of scanning.
Log in and View Assigned Waves
The Assigned Picker logs into the OTO PACK Mobile App.
A list of waves assigned to the picker is displayed.
If Picker Assignment Automation is enabled, pickers can pull new waves when needed.
Select and Start the Wave
The picker selects the wave to process from the list.
Click Start Wave and assign a Trolley to the wave.
Pick Items with Scanning Support
Pick items manually or by scanning barcodes.
For each item:
Select Quantity: Choose the quantity to pick.
Select Receive Bin: Assign the items to their designated receive bin.
Pro Tip: Use scanning for improved accuracy and to avoid errors.
Complete Individual Items
After picking each item, press the green Complete button to confirm.
Complete the Wave
Once all items are picked, the central button at the bottom changes to a green Complete button.
Press it to finish the wave.
The system will prompt for a Packing Station or Sorting Station.
After selecting the station and pressing Save, packing statuses are updated, and the picked orders are sent to the appropriate Sorting or Packing Page.
2. Processing Waves via Dashboard ("Complete Wave Picking")
This method offers a streamlined way to process waves directly from the dashboard.
Navigate to the Wave Picking Page
Go to the Wave Picking page and select the desired wave.
Review Items in the Wave
When Complete Wave Picking is pressed, the system displays all items in the wave.
For each item:
Select Quantities to be picked.
Assign Receive Bins from the dropdown list.
Select Drop Bin for the Wave
Before finalizing, choose a Drop Bin for the wave.
Complete the Wave
Confirm the details and complete the wave.
Once done, packing statuses are updated, and orders proceed to the next stage.
Key Differences Between Methods
Why Choose the Mobile App?
The mobile app ensures higher accuracy and dynamic adjustments, especially in real-time scenarios. However, the dashboard option provides a simple and quick way to process waves for larger operations or administrative tasks.
With these methods, OTO PACK Advanced ensures your wave processing is efficient, flexible, and precise.
