Designed for businesses that operate without an eCommerce platform, OTO Link allows sellers to register, configure settings, generate order links, and manage transactions all within a single platform. Buyers can use OTO Link to complete purchases smoothly through an intuitive checkout process.

This guide outlines the entire process, from seller onboarding to order fulfillment and buyer checkout.


How to Use OTO Link

Seller Onboarding

Before sellers can create OTO Links, they must complete the onboarding process.

Account Setup & Verification

  1. Enter Mobile Number – A verification code will be sent for confirmation.

  2. Provide Address – Sellers must input their country and short address code or national address for delivery purposes or fill their address from google maps.

Tip: Ensuring accurate address details speeds up shipping integration and order fulfillment.

Choosing an Account Type

Sellers must select the appropriate account type based on their business structure:

  • Company – Registered businesses with official documentation.

  • Freelancer – Individuals with freelancer registration.

  • Individual – For those without business registration (cannot accept online payments).

If Company or Freelancer is selected, sellers must upload necessary documents such as a company registration number and business owner’s ID. Sellers can skip this step and complete it later using the progress bar.

Tip: Selecting the right account type ensures access to the proper payment.

Adding Bank Details

To receive payments, sellers must add their banking details:

  1. Select Bank – Choose from the available banks.

  2. Enter Account Holder Name – Must match business or freelancer registration details.

  3. Provide IBAN – Ensures smooth financial transactions.

Tip: If bank details are not available, this step can be skipped and updated later.

Configuring Payment & Shipping Preferences

  • Payment Methods

    • Cash on Delivery (COD) – Allows customers to pay upon receiving their order.

    • Online Payments – Accepts Visa, MasterCard, Mada, and Apple Pay transactions.

  • Pickup Options

    • Drop-off to Nearest Branch – Sellers deliver packages to a courier branch.

    • Pickup by Shipping Courier – A courier picks up the package within 48 hours.

Supported Shipping Companies:

  • Aramex, UPS, DHL Express, SMSA Express, Flow PL, and more.

Tip: Enabling multiple payment and shipping options increases sales opportunities and enhances customer satisfaction.


Creating an OTO Link

Once onboarding is complete, sellers can generate OTO Links to share with buyers.

Generating an OTO Link

  1. Go to the OTO Link dashboard and click "Create OTO Link."

  2. Enter Product Details:

    • Product Name

    • Description (color, size, etc.)

    • Quantity

    • Price (automatically calculates total price)

  3. Define Box & Shipping Details:

    • Box Type

    • Dimensions (Length, Width, Height)

    • Weight

  4. Click "Create OTO Link" – A shareable link is generated.

Sellers can copy or send the link via whatsapp, or email.

Tip: Use "Add New Row" for multiple products or packaging types.


Managing OTO Link Settings

After setup, sellers can modify their preferences.

Updating Account Type

Sellers can check their registration status and update details if needed. If the status is Pending, they can wait for approval.

Configuring Payment & Shipping Settings

  • Navigate to OTO Link Settings.

  • Enable or disable Cash on Delivery and Credit Card Payments.

  • Modify Pickup Options and Courier Preferences.

  • Click Save to apply changes.


Managing Orders & Transactions

OTO Link provides a management dashboard with four key sections:

All Links

  • View generated OTO links.

  • Check status (Active/Expired).

  • Monitor usage and total transaction amounts.

Active Links

  • Track live transactions.

  • Monitor buyer details and their payment.

Orders

  • Track order fulfillment.

  • Print receipt and Air Waybills (AWB) for shipping labels.

  • Cancel Orders. 

Transactions

  • Monitor received payments.

  • Track shipping and payment fees.

  • Identify pending transactions.

Tip: Regularly reviewing orders and transactions ensures smooth operations and financial management.

Buyer Checkout Process

Buyers complete their purchases in a few simple steps after opening the link:

Step 1: Enter Contact & Address Details

Buyers must fill in:

  • Personal Details (Name, Mobile Number, Email).

  • Address Details (Country, Location).

Tip: Buyers should ensure their contact information is accurate for seamless order processing.

Step 2: Select Payment Method

  • Cash on Delivery – Pay upon delivery.

  • Credit Card – Secure online transaction via Visa, MasterCard, Mada, or Apple Pay.

Tip: If a payment option is unavailable, the seller has not enabled it.

Step 3: Choose Shipping Method

Buyers can select from various shipping providers and delivery timeframes.

  • Delivery by Courier

  • Estimated 1 to 5 working days depending on the provider.

Step 4: Confirm & Place Order

Buyers review their order summary, including:

  • Product Details (Quantity, Price)

  • Selected Payment Method

  • Chosen Shipping Option

  • Total Order Amount (Product Price + Shipping Fee)

Once confirmed, the order is placed and buyers receive a confirmation notification.

Tip: If buyers need to update their order, they can change the payment or shipping method before confirming.


Troubleshooting and FAQs

Common Issues and Solutions

Issue: Unable to verify phone number. 

Solution: Ensure the correct country code and mobile number are entered. Phone number should not be used in OTO before. 

Issue: Bank details not saving. 

Solution: Check that the IBAN and account holder name match your registered business details.

Issue: OTO Link not generating. 

Solution: Ensure all product and shipping details are correctly filled before clicking "Create OTO Link."

Issue: Order payment is not Showing. 

Solution: Confirm that the selected payment method is enabled in the seller's settings.

Q: Can I change my account type after registration? 

A: Yes, you can update your account type and upload documents from the Account Settings.

Q: Can I enable both COD and online payments?

A: Yes, However, You have to be a business or freelance account as a seller to activate both payment options to offer buyers flexibility. If you are an individual you still can enable COD only. 

Q: What happens if I select an incorrect shipping method during the checkout?

A: You can return to the shipping selection step and modify your choice before confirming the order.

Q: How do I share an OTO Link? 

A: After creation, sellers can copy and share the link via email or WhatsApp.

Q: What payment methods are supported by OTO Link?
 A: OTO Link supports online payments via credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and other regional gateways. Cash on Delivery (COD) is also available.

Q: How do I receive my payments?
 A: You’ll receive online payments directly in your bank account once the order is delivered. For Cash on Delivery (COD), payments are added to your OTO wallet twice a month, and you can transfer them to your bank anytime.


Q: How do refunds and cancellations work?
 A: You can process refunds through your OTO Link dashboard. Refund timelines depend on the payment method used.


Q: Is OTO Link available for personal sellers or only businesses?
 A: OTO Link is designed for both businesses and individual sellers who want an easy way to sell products online.


Q: Can I select different shipping companies for different orders?
 A: Yes! You can enable various shipping companies and give your buyers the power of choice. All you need to do is print the labels.


Q: Is there a fee for using OTO Link?
 A: Yes. Standard online payment processing fees apply based on the payment method:

  • Mada: 1% + 1 SAR per transaction

  • MasterCard/Visa: 2.4% + 1 SAR per transaction

  • AMEX: 3.4% + 1 SAR per transaction

  • Apple Pay: Based on the card used

  • COD: A service fee of 1% of the total amount paid applies


Q: Do buyers need an OTO Link account to make a purchase?
 A: No! Buyers can check out instantly no sign-ups or extra steps required.


Q: Can I track my OTO Link transactions?
 A: Yes, all transactions and payments can be monitored from the Orders and Transactions tabs in the management dashboard.


Q: How does OTO Link protect against fraud?
 A: OTO Link uses secure payment processing and fraud detection systems to ensure safe transactions.
