Feature Name: Edit Order
Feature Overview: The Edit Order feature in OTO allows users to modify the details of an order before it is picked up by the assigned delivery partner. This feature is only accessible for orders that are still in the Pending Orders tab. Users can update receiver details, address information, and other relevant order details to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the delivery process.
How to Use the Feature
Step-by-Step Instructions
Prerequisites:
Ensure the order is in the Pending Orders tab.
Orders must not be picked up to remain eligible for edits.
Steps to Edit an Order
Navigate to the Pending Orders Tab:
Go to the Shipments section in the sidebar.
Select the Pending Orders tab to view eligible orders.
Select the Order to Edit:
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the desired order or click on Orders dropdown menu.
Select Edit Order from the dropdown options.
Edit Receiver Details:
Modify fields such as First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, and Email under the Receiver Contact Details section.
Edit Receiver Address Details:
Update the address fields such as:
Country
City
Full Address Line
Choose between Short Address Code/National Address or Manual Address Entry.
Review and Save Changes:
Navigate through other tabs like Order Details and Shipping Details if additional modifications are required.
Click Save to confirm and update the order details.
Limitations
Editing Restricted to Pending Orders: Orders that have been moved out of the Pending Orders tab cannot be edited.
No Edits After Pickup: Once an order is picked up, changes can no longer be made.
Example Use Case:
A customer provides incorrect address information after placing the order. You can use the Edit Order feature to quickly correct the details before the order is picked up, ensuring smooth delivery.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: Why can’t I see the Edit Order option?
Check if the order is still in the Pending Orders tab. Only pending orders can be edited.
Q: Can I edit the product details in the order?
Yes, you can edit product descriptions and quantities under the Order Details section.
Q: Can I change the delivery partner for the order?
No, the delivery partner assignment cannot be modified using the Edit Order feature.
