Efficient returns processing is crucial to maintaining inventory accuracy and streamlining warehouse workflows. OTO PACK provides flexible tools to manage returns for both single and multiple orders through the dashboard and the OTO PACK Mobile App.


Options for Managing Returns

OTO PACK offers two primary methods for managing returns:

  1. From Shipments > Returned Page:

    • Best suited for desktop workflows, allowing single or bulk returns confirmation.

  1. From the OTO PACK Mobile App:

    • Ideal for mobile workflows where the responsible user is on the move or the return station lacks desktop devices.


How to Confirm Returns in the Dashboard

1. Single Order Confirmation

  • Navigate to Shipments > Returned.

  • Select the order you wish to process.

  • Click Tools > Confirm Return.

  • The Return Confirmation Form will appear. Follow these steps:

    • Return Reason: Select the reason for the return from the dropdown.

    • Customer Return Comment: Add any relevant comments, if applicable.

    • Quantity to Confirm: Enter the quantity of items being returned for each SKU.

    • Click Save to confirm the return.

2. Bulk Returns Confirmation

  • Select multiple orders from the Returned page.

  • Click Tools > Confirm Return Multiple.

  • The system will automatically confirm all items in the selected orders, adjusting inventory accordingly.


How to Confirm Returns in the OTO PACK Mobile App

  1. Open the OTO PACK Mobile App.

  2. From the bottom menu, click Return.

  3. Select the order you wish to process.

  4. Confirm items using:

    • Scanning: Recommended for accuracy.

    • Manual Selection: Use when scanning is not available.

  5. Once quantities are confirmed, the inventory is updated in real time.

Inventory Updates Upon Return Confirmation

When a return is confirmed, OTO PACK updates inventory as follows:

  1. Inventory on Hand & Inventory Available ( Exclusive for OTO INVENTORY )

    • Adjusted to reflect the quantity of items physically returned to the warehouse.

  2. Bin Inventory Update: ( Exclusive for OTO PACK Advanced + Bin Tracking Enabled )

    • For OTO PACK Advanced + Bin Tracking users, returned items are automatically placed in the "Return" bin, ensuring proper inventory organization and tracking.

Additional Features

  1. Editing Return Reasons:

    • From the Returned Page, click Tools > Edit Return Reason to modify the return reason for a specific order.

  2. Viewing Return Details:

    • Click Tools > View Return Details to see shipment information, return reasons, and customer comments for a selected order.
